Redefining the Harp: Sasha Boldachev & Gabriel Lee


Set to challenge the traditional notions of the harp as a feminine instrument, internationally-acclaimed Russian harpist Alexander (Sasha) Boldachev and established Singaporean violinist Gabriel Lee present a one-night-only concert in Singapore. Boldachev and Lee will perform an eclectic programme of transcriptions from familiar classics by Glinka, Chopin, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Massenet, Piazzolla and includes Boldachev’s own arrangement of Igor Stravinsky’s Petrushka.

Secrets of the Magical Aviary


In commemoration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, young harpist Laura Peh joins forces with fellow Singaporean artists – filmmaker Min-Wei Lee (New York University), violinist Wilford Goh (Royal College of Music, London), choreographer Renee Leong and dancers Hoi Siu Yan and Koo Hong Kei (School of the Arts, Singapore) to bring you an unforgettable evening of visual portraits, dynamic choreography and scintillating musical flourishes. Supported by the National Arts Council, Secrets of the Magical Aviary is a harp recital presented by Laura Peh which includes premieres of two new works by choreographer Renee Daphne Leong and filmmaker Min-Wei Lee.
